One Brand Review – Cosrx Toners

Cosrx – an award-winning Korean brand that is so well-loved in the beauty community now offers their toners in deluxe size! Perfect for those who are looking to try out their toners but are afraid to commit to full-sized ones.

Not only are these adorable mini toners affordable (only RM28 each in Watsons Malaysia), you can repurpose them by refilling/decanting full sized toners into these minis & carry them when you travel! The lid is easy to remove & wash (some skincare bottle caps are just a pain in the butt to remove lol). The bottle also dries up quite easily, so a great plus point here.

Glampick generously sent me three of Cosrx’s mini toners to try out, so here are my thoughts:

COSRX Propolis Energy Toner

My go-to night toner! This is the most viscous amongst the three I’ve tried. However, it does not leave a sticky finishing but absorbs rather fast into the skin. It doesn’t contain water in its ingredients list and is replaced with 72.6% Black Bee Propolis Extract & 10% Honey Extract that is packed with anti-bacterial & anti-inflammatory properties to improve skin’s elasticity & complexion! If you have drier skin type & arelooking for a nourishing toner, this will be a great choice. I picked up a slight honey scent from this toner, nothing too overwhelming, in case you’re sensitive to fragrance. This never fails to leave my face feeling well hydrated.

Recommended to – Normal to dry / Fungal or Acne Prone

Full Ingredients – Propolis Extract, Honey Extract, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, Betaine, Cassia Obtusifolia Seed Extract, Panthenol, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride

COSRX Hydrium Watery Toner

Like its name, this is a lightweight watery toner that aims to deliver hydration to your skin with 6 different types of hyaluronic acid whilst the presence of panthenol in the ingredient list helps with soothing the skin & safe to use on acne-prone skin. This feels very much like water, very lightweight & is one of my favourite morning toner. I like pairing this with a cotton pad, mainly because I skip morning cleansing (foam cleanser), so this works as my “cleanser”. It leaves my skin feeling very clean and fresh, which is the finishing I always look for in my morning toner. Try using this as a toner sheet mask around the dry patches on your face (in my case, my cheeks) & this will leave your skin boink boink after 5 – 10 minutes!

Recommended to – All skin type

Full Ingredients – Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Allantoin, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate

COSRX AHA BHA Vitamin C Daily Toner

This mild exfoliating toner that is formulated with GOLDEN-RX COMPLEX™ (comprised of Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract & Hylocereus Undatus Fruit Extract)* together with AHA, BHA & Vitamin C aims to help in improving bumpy skin texture & brighten dull looking skin. Similar to the Hydrium toner, this is also very lightweight & absorbs beautifully into the skin. I did not face any stinging effect from this however, I would say sadly, I did not see this helping much with my textured skin. Perhaps my skin is “seasoned” in a way where it needs higher % of exfoliating ingredient to work, haha. This smells very similar to Cosrx’s OG AHA BHA Treatment Facial Toner (purple label), only slightly less “pungent” with chemical smell as compared to the latter. However, if you’re new to the exfoliating game, this would be a great choice because its so mild, your skin won’t get irritated & you’ll enjoy the exfoliating effect at the same time!

Recommended to – Textured or Bumpy Skin / Oily Skin / New to chemical exfoliants
