Review – Axis-Y New Skin Resolution Gel Mask

One of my favourite K-Beauty brand, Axis-Y has recently launched a new addition to their wash-off mask range!

Meet the newest baby in town – New Skin Resolution Gel Mask!

I was such a fan of their Mugwort Wash Off Pack, which worked wonders in reducing clogged pores, leaving the skin supple & clean. Great to know that this beautiful gel mask is cruelty-free, paraben free, mineral oil free, vegan and made without artificial fragrance & artificial colors.

Key Ingredients

  • 2% Niacinamide to improve skin’s dullness & skin tone
  • Heartleaf to soothe irritated skin
  • Fig to deliver moisture
  • Madecassoside to heal & soothe our skin
  • Allantoin to protect water loss from our skin
  • Artemisia to soothe & calm skin
  • Yam Root to reduce hyperpigmentation

As you can see, there are many skin loving ingredients that are made to soothe the skin whilst delivering a punch of moisture to prevent you from turning into a prune, hehe.

Packaging

It comes in a tub of 100ml with spatula nicely tucked on the lid.

Texture

Cooling gel texture that glides really smoothly when applied on the face. I use the spatula included in the tub to gently spread the mask all over my face. You can see the pieces of heartleaf mixed in the gel. It’s just so satisfying!

Scent

It smells like a tub of traditional herb. It is a no brainer that it smells like herb as it is rich with tons of plant-based ingredients. It definitely smells less pungent as compared to the Mugwort Wash Off Pack. If you have tried the mugwort one & had no issue with the smell, I can guarantee you won’t have issue with this one too.

How To Use

Apply this on the face & rinse it off after 10-15 mins

Thoughts

First of all, I must say that their claim on brightening… This ain’t NO LIE! The instant brightening effect is very noticeable after washing it off, even on my first use. This is a great pick-me-up to naturally brighten the skin in the morning before heading off for an event or a date. Besides its power niacinamide flaunting its magic, this feels very cooling on the skin & definitely leaves my skin all supple & soft. I had no bad reaction to this mask.

Recommended to

  • All skin type

It is very inexpensive and this tub will definitely last as you don’t need much per use.
