One Brand Review – Etude House Fixing Tint (Swatches & Review)

Fixing Tints, assemble!

These Etude House Fixing Tints are no stranger in the beauty community. I’m sure you have seen these floating around social media lately, getting tons of hype & love on Tik Tok.

In the era where wearing face masks is the new normal, I know it’s difficult to find a lipstick that doesn’t stain & smudge underneath our masks. There are SO MANY lip tints out there promising long-lasting, non-smudging claims but honestly, most of these lip stains are really drying, especially if your lips are not able to tolerate such texture. However, Etude House has up its game in creating extremely budge-proof lip stains – known as Fixing Tints that not only look flattering on most skin tones with gorgeous shades to choose from, they’re non-drying as well thanks to their Hydro-Matte technology & stays put all day long.

If you’re curious to see which shade suits you the most, here are some swatches on my skin. Stylekorean sent me the complete set of 8 shades (#01 – #08) but I think Etude House has recently added 3 more NEW shades to this range!

Note: all photos are unedited, including lighting. All are images are taken indoors with my iPhone under natural lighting. I have a neutral skin tone but I do notice that cool-toned shades suit me better.

SHADES

There is a good mixture of warm and cool-toned shades to choose from. The first half (#01 – #04) are slightly more warm-toned (though it doesn’t look much different on me, lol) and the other half (#05 – #08) lean more towards a cool-tone base. I think they should really explore more shades coz I’m such a fan of their formulation! I personally prefer the second half shades just because I think they look more flattering on me & I could actually see the difference on the shades.

If I have to choose, my favs are soft walnut, ginger milk tea & midnight mauve.

APPLICATOR

Doe foot applicator with sharper edge for a more precise application. Picks up the right amount for each application. Note that my lips are pretty small, haha.

FINAL VERDICT

This does what it claims & I think it’s pretty worth the hype. They are transfer-proof once it fully settles down onto the lips, which takes about just 1 minute or so. On super dry lip days, I just apply a balm underneath to prevent it from settling down on cracked lip lines. It does fade a little after eating oily food, leaving a nice, natural stain but with a good price tag of only $10 each on Stylekorean, you can just reapply & don’t feel bad for using too much of this LOL

So which is your favourite shade & do you own ALL of them too? Let me know in the comments!

Price: $14 (before sale. Currently available for $10 only!)

  1. Hi Gudeiary, just checking to see if Spalina Skincare is something you’d be interested to check out or mention on your blog? We’re looking for skincare influencers that would help us introduce our brand to the online community.
