[REVIEW] Innisfree Black Tea Youth Enhancing Ampoule

If you have not heard of Innisfree’s latest Black Tea Youth Enhancing Serum, don’t worry, you’re not missing out. Not because this is a bad ampoule but honestly with so many new products launching in the beauty world every day, it’s quite impossible to keep track at this stage.

So, allow me to enlighten you with my honest thoughts & reviews on Innisfree’s latest serum (I would like to think this is still the latest, lol) that was launched last year & why this is one of the few new skincare product that you should try out.

Introduction

Newly launched in Malaysia around Q4 in 2020, Innisfree’s Black Tea Youth Enhancing Ampoule that is formulated with Reset Concentration™️ aims to help in firming up tired-looking skin, enhancing our skin’s natural glow, making it more vibrant, healthy & well-slept. Kiss fatigue skin goodbye! Sounds amazing right? And that is why I call this my Youth Fountain in a Bottle™️ (HAHA, simply ™️)

Key Ingredients

Packed with 80% Fermented Black Tea that is packed with anti-oxidants that are well-known to delay early signs of aging such as wrinkles, fatigue skin & lack of elasticity. Other notable ingredients are niacinamide, glycerin (some loves it, some doesn’t), squalane, ceramide np, allantoin. Full list of ingredients below:

What is Reset Concentrate™️? Here’s what I can share from Innisfree’s official website.

Reset Concentrate™ – potent ingredient meets excellent extraction technologies. Beauty Green Tea (innisfree’s exclusive green tea variety discovered after extensive research) has been naturally fermented and became ‘Black Tea’. To ensure that all powerful antioxidants and anti-aging compounds are extracted, the Black Tea is then infused in mineral water for 12 hours. Through this proprietary extraction method, Reset Concentrate™ – a potent active ingredient – has been created.

Packaging

Contains 30ml of ampoule in a beautiful brown ombre glass bottle with a dropper. Its sturdy packaging definitely does not feel cheap to the touch & had no issue with the dropper.

Texture

White in color but rather murky/cloudy. Knowing the texture of an ampoule, this is definitely thicker than your typical serum. The viscosity reminds me of a honey serum, where it isn’t runny, rather thick but is super lightweight on the skin. The ampoule glides on like a dream & feels real good on the skin.

It also absorbs quickly & doesn’t leave any tacky feeling behind. 3 drops of this goodness is enough to keep my skin happy all night long. Because it is so nourishing on the skin, I sometimes skip moisturizer to avoid drowning my skin with too many layers of skincare.

Scent

I can pick up a very light citrus-y scent but nothing too overpowering. It’s smells very therapeutic, perfect for a good pampering session after a long day.

Thoughts

If I tried this when I was 21 years old, I might find this ampoule, “um.. nice! But a lil’ too much for me”. However, since I am entering the 30 year old gang soon, I am extremely thankful for the existence of this ampoule, lol. Upon receiving this ampoule for review, I tried applying it religiously for 2 weeks in a row & while the wrinkle result is impossible to be noticed within such short period of time, I definitely notice an improvement on my skin.

I will wake up to supple, bouncy skin the next day. Pores appear smaller & I definitely notice the “healthy glow” (I promise it isn’t the oil from my sleep HAHA). I did try using this in the morning & while I do enjoy its fast absorbent properties, I still think this works better at night, allowing the power ingredients to work its magic at night.

Recommended to

• Those that are turning 30 soon LOL.
• Matured skin
• All skin types!
• Skin that are not sensitive to fragrance (as it is listed in the ingredients list)

Price

RM137 (30ml)

The price tag can look pretty hefty but if you compare it with other brands that promises the same claims, I think this is not too shabby looking at the results it delivers. It won’t turn you from Snow White’s stepmum to Snow White overnight but then again, skincare isn’t an eraser. Have patience & enjoy the results!

Would I repurchase? A solid YES. & I’m definitely getting it from Althea because it is cheaper than my local Innisfree’s store price XD
